The Faces Behind Sedona Wine Adventures
At Sedona Wine Adventures, our tours aren’t run by drivers — they’re led by storytellers, locals, and true lovers of Sedona’s land, culture, and flavors. Each member of our team brings their own unique spark, making every tour not just informative but fun, genuine, and unforgettable.
We don’t just show you Sedona — we share it with you. The stories, the hidden spots, the laughter, and the memories are all part of what makes this experience one of a kind.
Jim Reich – Owner & Founder
“Extraordinary Guides. Extraordinary Tours. Extraordinary Memories.”
Hi, I’m Jim — the owner of Sedona Wine Adventures, as well as Wine Tours of Sedona, SIP Sedona, and several other adventure-based brands in the Sedona area.
Although I started Sedona Hiking Adventures back in 2004, that first company quickly grew into something bigger. As my passion for guiding and storytelling evolved, Sedona Hiking Adventures morphed into Sedona Red Rock Adventures, which ultimately paved the way for Wine Tours of Sedona — the flagship company that brought my love for Arizona’s vineyards and landscapes together.
In April of 2025, I purchased Sedona Wine Adventures as a way to reach a new market segment — guests who want the same exceptional level of care, personalization, and private touring experience that Wine Tours of Sedona is known for, but with the flexibility to pay for their own tastings, food, and add-ons along the way. It’s my way of giving more travelers the opportunity to experience Sedona’s beauty and hospitality, no matter their budget or preferences.
What drives me is simple: I love connecting with people and curating unforgettable days. Whether it’s helping someone discover their new favorite Arizona wine, capturing their perfect vineyard photo, or simply sharing a great laugh on the road, I want every guest to feel that this experience was designed just for them.
Over the years, I’ve built partnerships with Arizona’s best wineries, distilleries, chocolatiers, and artisans — because supporting local means everything to me. I believe that when visitors travel with us, they’re not just experiencing Sedona; they’re helping sustain the community that makes it so special.
When I’m not out guiding, you’ll find me behind a camera, designing new tour experiences, or brainstorming with my incredible team — including our amazing guides, Juan and Ed. I’m also a proud dog dad to Ama, my loyal sidekick and unofficial company mascot, who reminds me every day that life is meant to be enjoyed.
So whether you’re joining me for a glass of wine, a scenic drive, or a full day of adventure — welcome. I can’t wait to show you my Sedona.
Juan Manuel Jijón-Caamaño – Guide Extraordinaire & Local Storyteller
If you’ve had the pleasure of touring with Juan, you already know — he’s one of a kind. Guests regularly describe him as hilarious, engaging, and full of heart, with an energy that fills every moment with laughter and connection.
Juan brings an incredible blend of charisma, cultural insight, and deep appreciation for Arizona’s land and local craftsmanship. Originally from Ecuador, he has made Northern Arizona home for more than a decade, and his passion for people and storytelling shines through in everything he does.
He has an uncanny ability to read the room — knowing when to share an insightful story about Verde Valley winemaking, when to offer a moment of quiet for guests to soak in the view, and when to make everyone laugh until their sides hurt. His tours are always rich with laughter, warmth, and genuine conversation.
Juan’s guests often leave feeling like they’ve spent the day with an old friend rather than a tour guide. Whether he’s introducing you to one of Sedona’s local winemakers, helping you pose for a great photo, or pointing out a hidden scenic overlook most visitors miss, he makes sure every moment is memorable.
If you get Juan as your guide, prepare for a day filled with humor, heart, and a whole lot of fun — the kind of experience you’ll be talking about long after your trip is over.
Ed Benoit – Wine Enthusiast, History Buff, & Sedona Expert
Ed is one of those guides who instantly puts people at ease. With his calm demeanor, friendly smile, and wealth of knowledge, he makes guests feel like they’re exploring Sedona with a trusted friend who knows all the best secrets.
A seasoned guide with years of experience throughout the Verde Valley, Ed combines his love for Arizona wine with a deep appreciation for the region’s history and natural beauty. He’s especially passionate about Sedona’s geological and cultural past — from the volcanic origins of its soil to the ancient peoples who once cultivated this desert landscape.
Guests describe Ed as patient, thoughtful, and attentive. He’s the kind of guide who takes the time to get to know his guests, ensuring the tour unfolds at their perfect pace. His tours strike that beautiful balance between relaxation and enrichment — guests leave feeling not only refreshed but inspired by the depth of what they’ve seen and learned.
Ed is also an accomplished photographer with a keen eye for capturing authentic, candid moments. Many of the photos you’ll find on our Gallery page were taken by Ed, who has a natural talent for framing Sedona’s golden light and guests’ genuine smiles.
Whether you’re on a romantic vineyard escape or a spirited day of tastings and scenic drives, Ed’s warmth and professionalism make every tour a pleasure from start to finish.
